About
January Sanctuary is an invitation to slow down after the busy Christmas time and reconnect with yourself and your intention for the upcoming year. The aim for this retreat is for you to unwind, gain clarity and set the tone for the year ahead in a grounded, calm and clear manner.
It’s also a chance to step away from the pace of the city, enjoy meaningful time with others and deepen your practice beyond the studio. With more time to explore different asanas, ask questions, and time for play and experimenting, your yoga practice will deepen and become fully yours.
This time we’ll stay at the newly renovated Haven Havelland, a charming, beautifully restored getaway in Westhavelland, about 1.5hrs from Berlin.
Schedule
We start our mornings in noble silence (mauna) with tea or coffee, then move to meditation, pranayama and chanting before we practice asana (Jivamukti Style).
After practice, there will be a big brunch, followed by free time for reading, naps, knitting, walks and use of sauna. Our afternoon practice will be a workshop on Friday and Yin Yoga on Saturday. In the evenings, we'll gather for dinner and then either hang out by the fireplace, go to the sauna or have kirtan (mantra chanting, on 1 evening).
Arrival day is gonna be afternoon practice around 17.30 followed by dinner and opening circle.
Departure day holds morning practice, closing circle and community brunch.
